Haley Elkins grew up the daughter of a couple who owned their own business; she spent her childhood up around letterhead, business cards, and huge old-fashioned accounting ledgers.
When she joined her first non-profit in college, there wasn't much organized structure, let alone any professional branding. In fact,
non-profit organizations in her community didn't seem to be taken very seriously at all, in spite of the important work they were doing. It was then she developed her mission to bring the same sort of professionalism she had seen in the corporate world to small non-profit organizations. She started with small marketing and fundraising designs, and when those small ideas blossomed in over $50K in donations over the course of three years, she knew she had found her calling.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in English literature and technical writing, she moved from university-based non-profits into community organizations, flexing her abilities in events planning, website design, and printed marketing materials.
Today, she continues this mission to bring affordable professionalism to non-profits, helping to bring fledging organizations into fully structured institutions. For examples of her past work, please see her portfolio.
